So Tricia and I met up with the kiddos today since they are all driving us crazy at home. We went to one of the bounce house places were you can wear your kid out for a few days with just an hour and a half constant jumping.
Our phone conversation to make plans went something like this:
Me: "Good morning!" in my most cheery voice like we always greet each other.
Tricia: "Hey, what's going on."
Me: "Oh, not much. They are already driving me crazy this morning."
Tricia: "Oh yeah? I just have one up right now. The other is still laying in bed."
Me: "UGH, you are so lucky."
Tricia: "Right..."
Me: "So how about some bouncing today."
Tricia: "Sounds great. That'll wear them out."
Me: "That's the idea."
Tricia: "Where at?"
Me: "That place we went to last time."
Tricia: "Okay, what time?"
Me: "10:30 good?"
Tricia: "Sounds good. See you there."
Me: "Cool. Bye."

So, I typed out that conversation to prove that nothing else was discussed. Tricia will attest to these facts herself. That is why it was sooo hilarious to us when we were unloading our kids from the car once we both got to the bounce place.
All four of our children were wearing matching outfits that neither one of us knew that the other had purchased for the girls. I don't know how it happened, but it was the funniest sight to see all of them together. I wish now that I had brought my camera. It is hard to get the full grasp of the scene. I mean, two kids in matching outfits is one thing, but FOUR! It is just too much. AND...it is really hard to say it was a complete accident with that many kids. It's almost like when you see a school group out with matching shirts. You know that was intentional. This was not. I guess that is what happens to kids when they have two AWESOME moms like us. Shut up--it's true!

What is even better about it all was that ONLY Emmi was wearing it at first. I made Jill change, lieterally two minutes before we walked out the door because I had just noticed how short her shorts were. So she grabbed the first thing she found...which happened to be what Emmi was wearing. Hey, I just washed pinks, they were on top.
ReplyDeleteJill still doesn't get why it was so funny!
