As many of you know, our family has been running on one car for a number of years now. With Daniel working nights, there has never been a huge need to have a second car. The kids are in bed by 7pm every night only an hour after Daniel is at work. Well, with the addition of little Violet to our family, it became obvious that our Mazda3 was not going to work for us alone. We can only fit two car seats in it. Let me tell you how hard it is to leave one child behind as you go to do stuff with the other two. Their sad little eyes and pouting lower lip are too much to handle.
So, Santa took pity on me this year and with a bit of help from some elves, we were able to purchase my new baby. I am so excited! I can fit all four girls into the car. I have three car seats across the second row, and Madison is more than thrilled to have the third row all to herself. It is pretty loaded, too. I don't know how I got this lucky.
What's funny is that Daniel and I have pretty much forgotten what life is like with two cars. He had to go to work in the day yesterday, and I mentioned that I wanted to take the girls over to my parents' house to play for the day. He told me I would have to wait until he got home and he wasn't sure when that would be. I just started laughing because he totally forgot that we don't have to schedule anything anymore. I can take off and come back whenever. He now claims he can finally head for Mexico and not feel guilty that I wouldn't be able to get around town. Funny boy...
Here are a couple pics of my new baby...yet to be named.
